“THANK YOU FOR BREAKING MY HEART” takes place in a magically modern world in which MAHAL, a depressed heartbroken 29-year-old documentary filmmaker, applies to terminate her soul contract — essentially to end her current lifetime - but she discovers old Hi8 tapes of her past relationship that spark a new vision on life, loss, and love across lifetimes.
This wildly imaginative original screenplay is written by award-winning queer Filipina-American filmmaker, Rachel Leyco.
